Maarten van de Voorde

Maarten van de Voorde started at West 8 in 1998, and has been project manager and director of Belgium since 2003. He has been in charge of Belgium and French projects, such as the Masterplan and supervision for the station area Hasselt, Falcon Square, Ryckaert Square Station area in Antwerp, Les Halles in Paris (together with MVRDV) and JB Lebas in Lille, France.
Further he is intensively involved in design of architectural objects, such as bridges and other public space elements and product design. His sharp insight on technical problem solving combines his apprehension in business terms provides West 8's design a solid base of viability.
Maarten van de Voorde is also visiting professor at various schools, such as St. Lukas Higher, Academy for architecture and urban design in Brussels and Ghent.
