Tverskaya Zastava Square, Moscow 'My Street' program completed
In collaboration with Strelka KB, part of West 8's involvement in the Moscow City's 'My Street' program, the revitalisation of Tverskaya Zastava Square and surrounding area is completed with great success. To date, the upgraded historical station area has made its glorious comeback.
West 8 wins design competition for Hengelo's Market Square
On December 8, Bureau Hengelo announced that West 8 has won the design competition for the Hengelo market square. With a majority of 68% of the votes, the public opted for West 8’s design, disqualifying the two other competitors Mecanoo and IAA Architecten.

Designed and produced by West 8 team, visitors of this year's Design Miami/ Art Basel are being greeted by a grand green temporary installation at the venue entrance outfitted with 101 wooden logs: 'Irma Logs', recycled from the recent Hurricane Irma.

Reframing the river: Olentangy River Corridor Charette
On Thursday 16 November, three design teams presented their visions for the Olentangy River Corridor in Columbus, Ohio. West 8 collaborated with Columbus local landscape architecture firm REALM Collaborative, to present ideas for transforming the Olentangy River from an obstacle to a focal point for the city of Columbus.

Drexel Square at Schuylkill Yards Philadelphia breaks ground
The groundbreaking took place Novermber 8, Wednesday morning at 3001 Market Street, which will be the site of the future 1.3-acre Drexel Square, an elliptical park designed by SHoP and West 8, together with Drexel University and master developer Brandywine Realty Trust.

Shanghai Zhangjiang Innopark landscape project in progress
After the conceptual design stage presented in mid 2017, West 8 has further developed the proposed urban design strategy for Zhangjiang Northwest District Urban Upgrade. It is positively perceived and has become a demonstrative project for the redevelopment of the rest of the Zhangjiang Innovative District. Derieved from this master plan, a landscape sub-project Zhangjiang Innopark is now being developed.

Toronto Urban Design Award for Queen's Quay
